Hello Local Socialite

Just a quick note to say hello and let you know about some of the good stuff going on in out mighty town.

First, This weekend (June 19) is the legendary Test of Metal Weekend.
Friday: downtown will be lots of family fun stuff.
Saturday: the big show with 800 racers going through our trails. There will also be a humongous pipe band gathering at the start line (11:00 at the rec center)
Sunday: the little kids have the mini metal at Squamish station and the spectator favorite “Rock Star” is the downhill race in Valleycliffe.

Lots to see and do.

Just a quick reminder to let you know the last social of the season is this week.
This WEDNESDAY 7-9 at Grilled Fromage. Yup - you heard right - Wednesday.
Same casual ‘come-out-and-meet your community gathering.

Last Local Social of the season.

So – good news and great news.

Good – there is one more social left before daylight savings is upon us.
Great – the location will be the mighty Grilled Fromage downtown Squamish.

If you haven’t been there already this is your big chance and if you have you know what awesomeness awaits you.

The evening itself will be the same casual affair perfect for coming out and meeting your neighbors.

Just a quick note to say hello and let you know there will not be a social this month. Apparently the Olympics are coming? Yeah – who knew? Anyway I urge you to go out and make the most of this… whatever it is.

I’m not sure if this email will get to you in time but I do recommend catching a glimpse of the torch. Brennan Park is going off on Thursday night and the torch stays over night and then goes up to Whistler. Apparently it’s quite cool.

Not sure if you heard but the last social was fan-tastic. Thanks to the many who came out and much thanks again to the Burrow for being such a suitable venue.

When’s the next one?
Thursday December 10th at The NEST in Brackendale.
Usual 7-9 no pressure come out and meet your community event.
It is the perfect way to start the festive social season.
